Feed corn prices have risen in Ukraine since early Nov – analysts

KYIV. Nov 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In Ukraine, from the beginning of November, prices for feed corn began to rise, which increased by UAH 100-300 per tonne and reached UAH 3,800-5,000 per tonne CPT, the APK-Inform information and analytical agency reported.

“This situation is mainly due to the corresponding dynamics in the export market, the high demand of export-oriented companies and the insufficiently active supply of corn due to the suppression of sales by farmers,” the analysts said.

As reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food predicts that in Ukraine by the end of 2023, losses in the agricultural sector from growing grains and oilseeds will decrease, but the production of three of the five main export-oriented crops will remain unprofitable. It concerns expected losses from the production of wheat, barley and corn amid the profitability of sunflower and soybeans.
