KYIV. Nov 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The IV National Forum of Organizational Development of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) is taking place in Kyiv.
“The current Forum is intended to become a communication platform that unites representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross from all over the country and will facilitate the exchange of best practices and experiences of each organization,” the Ukrainian Red Cross Society said on Facebook on Tuesday.
The Forum is attended by more than 450 representatives from 24 regional and 156 local organizations, as well as URCS employees and international partners.
“You are the ones who provide assistance to everyone who needs it most in every corner of Ukraine. Sometimes even risking their lives. All aspects of your activity are difficult to describe in words. You are creating the history of the humanitarian mission of the Ukrainian Red Cross in emergency conditions. The slogan of this forum ‘We are united to be strong’ should be supplemented with the words: we are strong when we are united,” URCS President Mykola Polischuk said at the opening of the forum.
According to the URCS Director General Maksym Dotsenko, international partners in the movement highly appreciate the work of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
“(…) this is work in which each of you is involved every day, 24/7, and in the first days of a full-scale invasion, generally non-stop and without rest. I have many meetings with our international partners and partners in the Movement. First of all, it’s the delight of your work. Admiration for the resilience of the Ukrainian nation and the Ukrainian Red Cross,” Dotsenko said.
