Kyivstar increases revenue by 12.1% in Jan-Sept 2023

KYIV. Nov 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The largest Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar in January-September 2023 increased its total operating income by 12.1% year-over-year, to UAH 25.6 billion.

As the press service of the mobile operator said, the company’s EBITDA also increased by 12.5%, to UAH 15.5 billion, and the EBITDA margin increased by 0.2 percentage points (p.p.), to 60.6%.

In addition, the company’s capital expenditures for the nine months of 2023 increased by 8.1%, to UAH 3.791 billion.

Total income from mobile communication services amounted to UAH 24.033 billion, which is 12.5% more year-over-year. Income from data transmission services UAH 13.963 billion (12.3% more). Operating income from the provision of fixed communication services increased by 2.6%, to UAH 1.447 billion. Income from broadband access Internet services increased by 17%, to UAH 979 million.

Operating income in the third quarter increased by 13.8%, to UAH 8.711 billion. EBITDA by 26.2%, to UAH 5.54 billion. Capital costs decreased by 11%, to UAH 1.61 billion.

Total income from the provision of communication services in the third quarter increased by 14.2%, to UAH 8.13 billion, including by 16.4% from data transmission services, to UAH 4.81 billion. Operating income from the provision of fixed-line communication services in the third quarter increased by 5%, to UAH 501 million. Operating income from broadband access increased by 22.6%, to UAH 334 million. The number of broadband subscribers in the third quarter increased by 0.6%, to 1.1 million, the broadband ARPU indicator by 25%, to UAH 100. The ARPU indicator of mobile subscribers increased by 15.8%, to 112 UAH, the MOU indicator by 2.2%, to 547 minutes. Mobile Internet use by subscribers in the third quarter increased by 17.7%, to 10.6 Gigabytes per subscriber.
