KYIV. Nov 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The movement of trucks through the Slovak border crossing point (BCP) Vyšné Nemecké, adjacent to the Ukrainian Uzhgorod BCP, has been temporarily unblocked, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported on Wednesday morning.
“As of this morning, there are about 350 trucks on the territory of Slovakia in front of the Vyšné Nemecké BCP heading towards Ukraine. Passenger vehicles and buses continue to be allowed into and out of the BCP as usual,” the State Border Guard Service said.
As reported, carriers in Slovakia on Tuesday blocked the movement of trucks through the Vyšné Nemecké BCP. The blockade was initiated and carried out by the Union of Carriers of Slovakia. The duration of the action was not reported. On the same day, there were about 300 trucks on the territory of Slovakia in front of Vyšné Nemecké BCP heading towards Ukraine. At the same time, the passage of cars and buses was as usual.
