SAPO: MP Dubnevych's UAH 56 mln bail transferred to AFU

KYIV. Nov 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) granted the petition of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) and recovered a bail worth UAH 56 million, which was paid for a MP suspected of illegally appropriating UAH 93 million of funds from PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia.

“On November 21, 2023, the panel of judges of the Supreme Court of Justice granted the request of the SAPO prosecutor to turn over to the government the bail in the amount of UAH 56 million, which was paid for a MP accused of illegally appropriating UAH 93 million of funds from PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia,” SAPO said in the statement on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the court decided to transfer these funds to a special account of the NBU to raise funds in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On November 2, a panel of judges of the Supreme Court of Justice granted the request of the SAPO prosecutor to put the MP on the international wanted list.
