KYIV. Nov 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that the U.S. Congress will approve an aid package for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy said in an interview with FOX News published Tuesday that he has hope that the help of the United States will be directed around the Ukrainian people.
He said that he has hope that the United States will stand with Ukraine in the fight against Russian terrorism.
Zelenskyy said that most of the money returns to the United States through production and jobs. When the United States produces for Ukraine and with Ukraine, the country also produces it jointly with the Americans. Thus, most of the goods will be produced in the states, he said.
Zelenskyy played down reports of a deadlock between Ukraine and Russia, pointing to gradual progress in the Black Sea.
Every day I think that we have success, Zelenskyy said. In Crimea, Ukraine achieved success on the Black Sea. Ukraine really destroyed part of the Russian fleet. They do not have such total influence on the Black Sea region, he said.
