KYIV. Nov 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Union of Carriers of Slovakia (Únia autodopravcov Slovenska, UNAS) did not give permission to carry out a blockade of the Uzhgorod- Vyšné Nemecké border crossing point (BCP) on the border with Ukraine and declines responsibility for the actions of the people who started it November 21, the union said on Facebook.
“This strike was not approved by the head of UNAS or the General Assembly of UNAS. As we stated, UNAS, after an agreement with the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Slovak Republic, will wait for negotiations between Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia. Then we will make an opinion on this matter,” the union said.
According to it, negotiations should take place on Wednesday. The organization recalled that if they are unsuccessful and the protests of Polish carriers continue, they plan to join them.
