KYIV. Nov 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addressed the newly elected Sejm and Senate of Poland with a proposal to continue fruitful cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.
Corresponding resolution No. 10243 was supported by 284 MPs at a plenary meeting of the Ukrainian parliament on Wednesday, member of the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak said.
“Ukraine hopes that the new convocation of the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland, elected in the recent elections, will be open to joint productive cooperation based on mutual trust and respect in favor of the Polish and Ukrainian peoples,” according to the statement.
The Verkhovna Rada expressed the hope that Poland will continue to effectively participate in the military-technical support of Ukraine, work together to develop security guarantees, and actively participate in the restoration of Ukraine and attracting investments.
“We count on continued support from the Sejm and Senate of the Polish state of Ukraine’s membership in the EU, promoting the interests of Ukraine at all international platforms,” the parliament said in the statement.
