KYIV. Nov 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrzaliznytsia in January-October 2023 increased the volume of transportation of grain and grinding products by 5.8%, or by 1.32 million tonnes compared to the same period in 2022, to 24.26 million tonnes, Ukrzaliznytsia reports.

According to the document, 17.55 million tonnes of grain and grinding products were transported in export traffic over 10 months, which is 0.7%, or 129,000 tonnes less compared to the same period in 2022.

In total, over 10 months, 10.46 million tonnes of grain cargo were transported by rail towards the ports, which is 15% less than during the same period in 2022. At the same time, the volume of transportation in the direction of border crossings amounted to 7.09 million tonnes (31% more).
