KYIV. Nov 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine’s humanitarian food program for 2024 was presented to representatives of Turkish business at the Grain from Ukraine conference, which took place at the office of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK) in Istanbul on Friday, Ukraine’s Consulate General in Türkiye reported on Facebook.
“The program provides for the purchase of Ukrainian grain by partner countries and its transfer to states that are suffering from a humanitarian crisis. The program is implemented in partnership with the World Food Programme under the auspices of the United Nations. As part of the program, 170,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat have already been received by some of the most socially vulnerable African countries,” Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul Roman Nedilsky told Turkish businessmen.
The possibilities of the Nazovni international platform for expanding trade and economic ties between Turkish businesses and Ukrainian exporters were also presented at the meeting.
The Consulate General expressed the hope that each such meeting will open up new opportunities for deepening economic cooperation between Ukraine and Türkiye.
