By ASTANA. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kazakhstan’s KazTransOil (KTO) has increased oil deliveries to Germany by 54% in November 2023 to 154,000 tonnes, said Abay Beisembayev, the director of KTO’s transportation department.
Despite difficult weather conditions in the Black Sea, KazTransOil fully meets its obligations to the shippers, and there are no restrictions from Transneft today, Beisembayev said.
“Due to restrictions on oil transportation through the pipeline system of Caspian Pipeline Consortium, a number of shippers have approached KazTransOil so that their oil may be transported through our system. We have contacted Transneft in order to pump additional volumes of oil from Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.,” Beisembayev said at the Issuer Day conference organized by the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange.
Initially, KazTransOil planned to supply 100,000 tonnes of oil to Germany in November of this year. However, the actual volume delivered to the Adamowo-Zastawa, a custody transfer metering station in Poland near the Belarusian border, for Germany will have totaled 154,000 tonnes by November 30, Beisembayev said.
Also, KazTransOil accepted 55,000 tonnes of oil for storage, including 23,000 tonnes from Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. and 32,000 tonnes from the Kashagan field. In December, the oil from Karachaganak will be delivered to Adamowo-Zastawa and the oil from Kashagan will be transported to the Sheskharis terminal in Novorossiysk, according to Beisembayev.
KazTransOil, part of National Company KazMunayGas, is the national operator of oil pipelines in Kazakhstan. The company owns and operates oil pipelines of about 5,400 km in length.
