KYIV. Nov 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and thanked the UK for its unwavering defense and political support during Russia’s fill-scale aggression against Ukraine.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian president, having visited the frontline in the south and east of the country, Zelenskyy briefed Sunak on the priority needs for strengthening defensive capabilities of the Ukrainian army and reinforcing the air shield.
The leaders also discussed further macro-financial assistance to Ukraine and coordinated their steps ahead of important international events.
They also touched upon the issue of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy and Sunak noted the importance of a meeting of national security advisers and political advisers which took place in Malta in October. They also discussed the next steps for the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
