Around 2,100 trucks queue towards Ukraine in territory of Poland – Border Guard Service

KYIV. Dec 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As of the morning of December 1, there were around 2,100 trucks queued towards Ukraine on the Ukrainian-Polish border, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko has said.

According to the official, Polish carriers continue to block four border crossing points: Yahodyn-Dorohusk, Krakovets-Korczowa, Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne, and Shehyni-Medyka (the latter has been blocked by protesters around-the-clock since November 27).

“As of today, according to information from our Polish colleagues, there are around 2,100 trucks queued towards Ukraine in these four directions. Most of them are near Shehyni and Rava-Ruska,” Demchenko said on the national telethon on Friday.

According to him, a few vehicles cross the border. The most intensive movement is at the Krakovets checkpoint.

“At the Yahodyn checkpoint, in the past 24 hours, the Polish side passed not more than 20 trucks to enter the country,” Demchenko said.
