By KYIV. Dec 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a joint project with UNICEF to pay additional assistance to low-income families with many children in eight frontline districts of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv regions.
Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk said on the Telegram channel that the decision was made at a government meeting on Friday.
In particular, the proposal of the Social Policy Ministry of Ukraine to implement, with the participation of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), a joint project on additional measures for social support for low-income families with children was approved.
It has been established that, as part of the implementation of the joint project, the right to receive additional one-time cash assistance from UNICEF will be available to families with children living in eight frontline districts of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv regions, which include a child with a disability under the age of 18 or large families with children under 18 years of age.
It is stipulated that the provision of cash assistance is subject to the receipt of state social assistance to low-income families.
Thus, payment of cash assistance from UNICEF will be made once for three months in the amount of UAH 3,600 per month for each family member of a recipient of state social assistance and UAH 6,660 for each child who is a recipient of state social assistance.
