KYIV. Dec 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has created an interagency working group to resolve problematic issues of agricultural producers; it will oversee government support for farmers registered and operating in de-occupied territories, the ministry’s press service reported.
According to the report, at the first meeting of the interagency group, led by First Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy Taras Vysotsky, aspects of government support for farmers were considered to resume their activities in de-occupied territories, in zones of active hostilities and those returned to territory controlled by Ukraine, assisting them in preparing for the spring sowing.
The Deputy Minister recalled that for enterprises from de-occupied territories there are preferential lending conditions under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program. The program will be extended in 2024. The state budget authorizes UAH 18 billion compensation. According to the program, farmers from de-occupied territories can receive a loan at 1-3% per annum.
The working group also discussed issues of compensation to entrepreneurs whose production was destroyed due to Russia’s armed aggression.
