KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Halyna Hereha, co-founder of Epicenter K LLC (Kyiv), became the indirect owner of 51.3% of Intersport Polska S.A. within the framework of an investment agreement signed between Epicenter K and the Cypriot Paravita Holding Limited (Nicosia).
As the Polish company reported on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on December 5, Hereha is the owner of the Solidez OG Foundation (Liechtenstein), which is the founder of Paravita Holding Limited.
Thus, as a result of the private placement of the shares of Intersport Polska S.A. with Paravita Holding Limited, Hereha became the indirect owner of 35.958 million shares of the Polish company, which gives it 51.3% of the share capital and 49.94% of the votes.
As reported, on April 19 of this year, Intersport Polska entered into an investment agreement with Epicenter K, which also operates stores under the Intersport brand in Ukraine, and Paravita Holding. The document provides for a total investment of EUR 10 million by the partner and investor. This amount is expected to be used, in particular, to develop the Polish company by opening new and modernizing existing stores.
On November 17, the managing and commercial directors of the separate division of Epicenter K LLC – Intersport Ukraine, Yulia Maksymenko and Aivars Bunde, joined the supervisory board of Intersport Polska S.A.
According to information on its website, the Intersport Polska chain includes 37 stores with a total area of 33,600 square meters with a staff of about 450 people.
As of December 2023, the Epicenter network unites 72 operating shopping centers under the Epicenter and Nova Linia brands in different Ukrainian regions.
