KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Comfy chain of household appliances and electronics stores has expanded by 23 stores in 2023 and plans to open about 20 more in 2024, its CEO Ihor Khyzhniak said on the sidelines of RAU Summit 2023 in Kyiv on Tuesday.
“Most of these 20 locations that we plan to open next year will be in small cities, with a population of 50,000 to 100,000,” he said.
The probable format of these stores is about 300 square meters, preferable to locations in shopping centers.
The company also has serious plans to develop logistics, as follows from the press release.
“We opened the first regional warehouse (Lviv, 1,500 square meters), we are now collecting feedback. We will decide this year whether to develop such real estate formats in the near future,” Khyzhniak said.
As of early December, the chain operates 80 stores. Until February 24 last year, the Comfy chain consisted of 97 stores. The owner of the network is Comfy Trade LLC (Dnipro).
