KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Bavaria and the Charlottenburg district of Berlin handed over to the capital a 20-tonnnes humanitarian aid truck, six cars, two generators, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
“Bavaria has handed over a 20-tonnes humanitarian aid truck and six cars to the Ukrainian capital. In particular: three new modern Renault ambulances, a Ford minibus, a Mercedes fire truck, an Iveco car,” Klitschko said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
The mayor added that the transferred cars will work from next week.
In turn, Charlottenburg handed over two trucks: MAN and Mersedes, a multifunctional Bobcat utility unit, two generators and an electric tool.
Klitschko said that the unit and cars will work in one of the districts of Kyiv, generators and power tools will be received by the district’s management company.
“Thank you to our friends from Germany and all international partners for their comprehensive support and very important help for the capital! Indeed, in conditions of war, the city needs to respond promptly and effectively to challenges and emergencies,” Klitschko said.
