KYIV. Dec 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Customs Service of Ukraine has granted the status of an authorized economic operator (AEO) with the right to apply simplifications to the founder of the Good Wine network – wine distributor Wine Bureau LLC (Kyiv).
“The 20th enterprise in Ukraine was granted AEO status: congratulations to Wine Bureau LLC on the successful completion of the assessment procedure!” the service said on its Telegram channel.
Already 20 enterprises performing different roles in the international supply chain (manufacturers, exporters, importers, customs representatives, forwarders) have received AEO certificates.
The customs service reminded that an authorized economic operator is a status that certifies the reliability and transparency of a company’s activities, allowing it to speed up and simplify control procedures and inspections.
The State Customs Service drew the attention of enterprises planning to apply for AEO authorization or authorization to apply simplifications that the key to at least 50% of success in obtaining authorizations is a thorough, comprehensive self-assessment. Such self-assessment should be carried out taking into account the enterprise’s role in the international supply chain, the specific nature of the enterprise’s activities and the authorization that the enterprise plans to obtain. An effective tool for such self-assessment is the enterprise self-assessment questionnaire, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated October 27, 2022 No. 1092.
According to information on the website of Wine Bureau LLC, the company was created in 2006 and is one of the key Ukrainian direct importers of wine, strong alcohol, craft beer and drinks, healthy food and accessories. In 2007, Wine Bureau opened the Good Wine store in Kyiv, at that time the largest specialized wine and spirits store in Europe with an area of 1,200 square meters. Currently, Bad Boy is also developing a more affordable format, with three stores operating in Kyiv, Lviv and Dnipro.
