FAO announces tender for purchase and delivery of soybean, sunflower seeds to farmers in frontline regions

KYIV. Jan 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) announced the launch of a tender for the purchase and delivery of soybean and sunflower seeds to support small farmers living and working in close proximity to the war zone and whose farms were damaged as a result of the war.

According to the organization, FAO plans to purchase 1,600 tonnes of soybean seeds, packaged in 50 kg bags, and 6,500 sunflower seeds.

Potential seed suppliers are permitted to submit bids for all or part of the seed supply.

To participate in the tender, suppliers shall apply through the UN Global Marketplace www.ungm.org. The application deadline is February 5, 2024.
