KYIV. Jan 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Insurance Company PZU Ukraine Life Insurance (Kyiv) collected UAH 401.220 million in net premiums in 2023, which is 1.2% more than a year earlier, according to the insurer’s interim information in the information disclosure system of the National Securities Market Commission.
According to its data, last year compensation payments were made in the amount of UAH 75.847 million (11.4% more).
Gross profit remained almost at the level of the previous year – UAH 323.952 million, administrative expenses increased by 31.5% – to UAH 46.342 million, and sales expenses – by 7.3%, to UAH 113.562 million.
The pre-tax financial result amounted to UAH 191.203 million, while a year earlier – UAH 28.411 million.
The company also reports that it ended last year with a net profit of UAH 147.5 million, which is 8.8 times more than in 2022.
PrJSC PZU Ukraine Life Insurance has been operating since 2003. It is part of the PZU group – one of the oldest and largest in Poland in terms of the volume of gross premiums (according to data from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority).
