KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Monday, 12 bulk carriers left Ukrainian ports, two more arrived in Ukraine to load grain, UN Deputy Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths said on Monday.
"Сегодня 12 судов покинули украинские порты, два направились в эти порты, чтобы загрузить продовольствие", – заявил Гриффитс во время заседания СБ ООН.
Today, 12 vessels left Ukrainian ports, two went to these ports to load food, Griffiths said during a meeting of the UN Security Council.
He explained that this movement of vessels became possible because earlier all these vessels were inspected by members of the Joint Coordination Center (JCC). Griffiths did not specify whether these inspections were carried out before or after the suspension of Russia’s participation in the grain deal.
