KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has agreed on the supply of equipment from the governments and companies of 12 countries to restore the energy system of Ukraine, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
"We have already agreed on the supply of equipment from the governments and companies of 12 countries: Israel, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, North Macedonia, Poland, the Republic of Korea, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland and France. In total, we are talking about 954 units of power equipment. The first batches of aid are already in Ukraine, the rest are expected in the near future. We continue to work to increase the circle of partners and the volume of support," Kuleba stressed.
The minister recalled that the head of state had given the corresponding order, while the Interior Ministry, the Energy Ministry and other authorities and state-owned enterprises have compiled and are updating the list of needs. The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has updated the relevant requests within the framework of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism and the NATO Disaster Response Coordination Center. In addition, diplomats process requests directly with power equipment manufacturers in France, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, China and other countries.
The Foreign Ministry said that among the equipment received by Ukraine, there are generators of various types, automatic switches, heat guns and more.
"We are grateful to every partner and every company that responded to our urgent request. Ukraine will always remember those who were with us in an hour of difficult trials," Kuleba summed up.
