KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Tuesday, November 1, Ukrainian ports received two tankers for loading oil for Jordan and Romania.
As reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, today three more vessels with 85,000 tonnes of foodstuffs for African and European countries left the ports of Chornomorsk and Pivdenny.
Among them, bulk carrier BOMUSTAFA O with 22,800 tonnes of wheat for Libya and NIMET TORLAK with 12,600 tonnes of meal for Morocco.
"Thanks to the fact that the UN and Turkey increased the number of inspection teams to 10, the Joint Coordinating Centre (JCC) on October 31 inspected 46 vessels with 1.7 million tonnes of Ukrainian foodstuffs that have already departed for ports of destination. A line of vessels in the Bosphorus awaiting inspection, decreased to 147 vessels both outbound and inbound," the Ministry of Infrastructure said.
In just three months of the implementation of the Grain Initiative, 422 vessels exported about 10 million tonnes of foodstuffs. This volume could be 30-40% more if Russia did not block inspections in the Bosphorus.
