Toyota continues to hold the leadership in the market with a drop in sales by 1% versus September 2022 and almost halved compared to October last year, to 665 cars.

The second result, as in September, is for Skoda with an increase in sales by 4.5% compared to September of the current year and a fall of only 3% versus October of the last year, to 326 vehicles.

Renault returned to the top three with 270 registrations (up by 72% compared to September this year, less by 71% compared to October 2021), KIA is fourth with 269 vehicles (up by 22% and less by 60%, respectively), and Mercedes- Benz – 230 vehicles (up by 26%, and less by 17%).

In total, according to the association, 30,900 new passenger cars were registered for the first time in January-October, which is 63% less than in the same period of 2021.

AUTO-Consulting, an information-analytical group, also published statistics on the car market on its website, linking the drop in passenger car sales in October versus September with interruptions in power supply.

"Attacks on infrastructure [committed by the aggressor country Russia, which unleashed a full-scale war against Ukraine] did not go unnoticed and by the end of October it is already possible to assess their impact on the car market," experts say.

According to the group, 3,300 cars were sold in October, which is 6.3% less than in September and 58% less than in October 2021.

The top four brands are similar to the information provided by Ukrautoprom, while Renault moved up to third place from ninth in September due to the establishment of a new logistics scheme, and KIA to fourth place from seventh.

At the same time, Mercedes-Benz, according to AUTO-Consulting, took sixth place in the ranking with 232 cars sold, and Volkswagen was in fifth place with 267 cars.
