KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The government has provided almost UAH 381 million to give grants to enterprises in the processing industry as part of the eRobota project, the Economy Ministry said on Tuesday.
"Our task is to move from the export of raw materials to the export of finished products, which should take into account the greatest added value. I am sure that the funds that the government allocates to support business will subsequently return to the budget in the form of new receipts," Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko said.
According to the ministry, 63 applicants will receive grants: 55 legal entities, seven sole proprietors and one individual intending to start a business in the field of used car tire recycling.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the allocated funds will contribute to the creation of new jobs and development in the processing industry for the production of food, furniture, chemicals and chemical products, finished metal products, electrical equipment and non-metal mineral products, processing and wood products and textiles.
The ministry recalled that last week the government also allocated funds for grants for processing and agricultural enterprises in the amount of more than UAH 320 million.
