KYIV. Nov 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine has exported 13.4 million tonnes of grain crops since the beginning of the July-June 2022-2023 agricultural year to November 2, according to the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
The ministry said that the rate of grain exports is 1.5-fold lower than the previous year from July 1 to November 2, 2021, when the country exported 19.72 million tonnes of grain.
Since the beginning of the current agricultural year, Ukraine has exported 7.14 million tonnes of corn, an increase of 2.9-fold; 5.06 million tonnes of wheat, a drop of 60%; 1.22 million tonnes of barley, a fall of 75%; 6,200 tonnes of rye, a drop of 88.9%; and 36,100 tonnes of flour, decrease of 16.8%.
As previously reported, in the 2021-2022 agricultural year, Ukraine exported 48.51 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year, having specifically exported 18.74 million tonnes of wheat, an increase of 12.6%; 23.54 million tonnes of corn, a rise of 1.9%; 5.75 million tonnes of barley, growth of 35.9%; and 70,900 tonnes of flour, a drop of 44.1%.
