KYIV. Nov 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the past two weeks, on October 17-31, a total of 2,990 transactions with agricultural land plots with a total area of 5,540 hectares have been concluded in Ukraine, which is respectively 26.1% and 24.4% less than the figures for the previous period, October 3-17.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food on Tuesday, in general, for the period from July 1, 2021 to October 31, 2022, during which the agricultural land market operates in the country, 129,210 transactions took place on land plots with a total area of 294,840 ha.
According to the ministry, for the period of October 17-31, an average of 214 transactions with agricultural land with a total area of 390 hectares were concluded daily, while during October 3-17, the daily indicators of the land market averaged 289 transactions for a total area of 520 ha/day, September 19-October 3 – 93 transactions for a total area of 170 hectares/day, for the week of September 12-19 – 210 transactions with a total area of 400 hectares/day, and for the week of August 22-29 – 164 transactions for 280 ha/day.
This figure is still significantly lower than before the Russian invasion: according to the latest pre-war data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, for the period February 11-18, an average of 621 land transactions with a total area of 1,650 hectares were concluded in Ukraine daily.
In terms of the total area of sold agricultural land plots, Kharkiv region is in the lead with an indicator of 38,400 hectares. It is followed by Dnipropetrovsk – 25,900 hectares, Poltava – 23,800 hectares, Kirovohrad – 23,500 hectares and Kherson regions – 21,000 hectares.
It is specified that over the past two weeks, most agricultural land was sold in Khmelnytsky region (653 hectares), as well as in Dnipropetrovsk (575 hectares), Vinnytsia (527 hectares), Poltava (514 hectares) and Kirovohrad (446 hectares) regions.
