KYIV. Nov 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine’s South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant also lost its connection to the same 750 kV line, the IAEA said.
"One of three 750 kV lines used by this plant to provide power to the grid, prompting the site to reduce the power of one of its three operating reactors by 50%," the IAEA said in a statement on Friday night.
The plant is located in the steppe zone on the left bank of the Pivdenny Buh near the city of Yuzhnoukrainsk, Mykolaiv region. It generates electricity by three million-strong VVER-1000 power units.
