KYIV. Nov 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In January-October of this year, the Kryvy Rih Iron Ore Plant reduced the production of commercial iron ore from underground mining by 26.8% compared to the same period last year, to 2.654 million tonnes.
According to the enterprise, in October Pokrovska, Kryvorizka, and Kozatska mines produced 40,000 tonnes each, and Ternivska, 30,000 tonnes.
In general, the plant produced 150,000 tonnes of products last month, while in September 200,000 tonnes, in August 270,000 tonnes, in July 280,000 tonnes.
As reported, Kryvy Rih Iron Ore Plant in 2021 increased the production of underground iron ore by 12.7% compared to 2020, to 4.298 million tonnes.
Kryvy Rih Iron Ore Plant specializes in underground mining of iron ore. The plant has four mines, including Pokrovska, former Oktyabrskaya; Kryvorizka, former Rodina; Kozatska, former Gvardeiskaya; and Ternivska, former Ordzhonikidze Mining Administration, then Lenin.
Kryvy Rih Iron Ore Plant is owned by Metinvest Group and the Privat Group.
