G7 warns Minsk of financial consequences in case of its direct participation in Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine

KYIV. Nov 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The G7 countries have threatened Belarus with "overwhelming additional costs" in case of its direct participation in the Russian war against Ukraine.

In a joint statement following the meeting of the G7 Foreign Ministers, published on Friday on the website of the German Foreign Ministry, it is said "if the Belarusian authorities more directly involve Belarus in Russia’s war, including permitting Russia’s armed forces to use Belarusian territory to launch missiles targeting Ukraine," then the G7 countries "will impose overwhelming additional costs on the regime."

Group of Seven (G7) is an informal international club that unites the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Japan and the United States.
