KYIV. Nov 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Meta, which owns the social networks Facebook and Instagram, has provided $1.5 million for Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns for Ukrainian small- and medium-sized enterprises, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine announced on Tuesday.
"Help from Meta will allow Ukrainian entrepreneurs to attract new customers, scale up their own projects and support the Ukrainian economy. The Ministry of Digital Transformation and Diia.Business teams actively worked with Meta on the launch of this program. After all, we understand how important it is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises," Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to the announcement, in order to participate in the program, candidates shall be Ukrainian enterprises located in Ukraine (with the exception of sanctioned regions that are subject to US sanctions, in particular Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) and manage a Ukrainian business page on Facebook with an ad account.
At the same time, government or state-owned companies, political parties/campaigns, and public international organizations are not eligible to participate in this program.
According to the Ministry, applications for participation in the program can be submitted from November 8 to December 31, 2022. At the same time, the Meta website indicates that the application is available from October 17 to December 31, 2022 or while promotional coupons are available.
