Ukraine increases revenue from electricity exports by 2.5 times in Jan-Oct

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In January-October 2022, Ukraine increased its revenue from electricity exports by 2.5 times (by $326.927 million) compared to the same period in 2021, to $542.514 million, according to the State Customs Service.

According to the calculations of Interfax-Ukraine, over ten months electricity was supplied to Poland for $148.121 million, Slovakia – for $141.08 million, Romania – for $118.268 million, and other countries – for $135.045 million.

In October this year, electricity export revenue amounted to $113.399 million compared to $26.364 million in October 2021.

In addition, in January-October 2022, Ukraine imported electricity for $148.888 million versus $63.005 million for the same period last year. In particular, it was imported from Belarus –for $100.414 million (in January-February), Belgium – for $30.714 million, Moldova – for $14.132 million, and other countries – for $3.628 million.

Last month, Ukraine imported electricity for $15.31 million compared to $387,000 in October 2021.
