Zelensky signs law on creation of fund to eliminate consequences of Russian aggression

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law on amending the state budget of Ukraine for 2022 regarding the creation of a fund to eliminate the consequences of the Russian armed aggression.

According to the website of the Verkhovna Rada, the president returned the bill to parliament with a signature on Wednesday.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill as a whole on October 19.

The law proposes to send all the money from the nationalization of Russian assets to a special fund and then, in agreement with the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada, use it in certain areas. In particular, the funds will be used for the construction of public buildings, reconstruction, overhaul of critical infrastructure facilities, the acquisition of residential premises for temporarily displaced persons and citizens who lost their real estate as a result of hostilities, terrorist acts, sabotage caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
