Ukraine cuts imports of petroleum products by 13.1% in Jan-Oct

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In January-October 2022, Ukraine imported 5.797 million tonnes of petroleum products (under the code 2710: gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, jet fuel, etc.), which is 13.1% less than in the same period last year (6.673 million tonnes).

According to the State Customs Service, petroleum products were imported in the amount of $6.884 billion, which is 70.2% more than in January-October 2021 ($4.045 billion).

Belarus imported fuel for $793.511 million (pre-war period, share – 11.53%), India – for $755.721 million (10.98%), Poland – for $635.008 million (9.22%), and other countries – for $4.700 billion (68.27%).

In addition, Ukraine exported 56,070 tonnes (80% less compared to January-October-2021) of petroleum products for a total of $66.409 million (59.4% less) over ten months. The cost of fuel delivered to counterparties from Lithuania amounted to $16.404 million, Turkey – $11.537 million, Estonia – $6.022 million, and other countries – $32.446 million.
