Kamet Steel sends another batch of grinding balls to Poland

KYIV. Nov 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Kamet Steel plant of Metinvest Mining and Metallurgical Group, created at the facilities of the Dniprovsky metallurgical plant (Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region), has sent another batch of grinding balls to Polish consumers.

According to the enterprise, production of metal products for national and international customers is a reliable support for the Ukrainian economy.

"In November, another batch of grinding balls – five wagons – was sent to Polish enterprises. Kamet Steel systematically fulfills such orders from European partners," the press release states.

As specified, the balls are niche products in demand. They are needed for the stable operation of mining and processing plants.

Kamet Steel operates two ball-rolling mills, which produce balls of different diameters. This year, due to special needs, production of grinding balls with an 80 mm diameter has been expanded.

Before the war, these orders were carried out by Azovstal, but now they have been transferred to Kamet Steel.

During this year, Polish consumers have already shipped 48 wagons of products from the plant’s ball-rolling mills, which is more than 3,000 tonnes of grinding balls of various diameters.

"We meet the needs of the mining and processing plants of Metinvest Group with our products, and we also fulfill orders from European consumers. This year, we shipped more than 3,000 tonnes of balls to Polish enterprises. Rollers of Kamet Steel are working to improve product quality and production efficiency to support the country’s economy in difficult times," Serhiy Mishurin, deputy head of the rolling shop at the section of axle and ball rolling mills, is quoted by the press service.
