By KYIV. Nov 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine and the Czech Republic have signed an agreement between the ministries on cooperation in the field of education and science.
"We are deepening cooperation in the educational and scientific fields of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. Today in Prague with my colleague, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic Vladimír Balaš, we signed an agreement between the ministries on cooperation in the field of education and science," Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to him, in order to promote academic mobility, the agreement provides for the provision of scholarships for education, the exchange of students, graduate students, teachers between educational institutions of Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
It is noted that support and encouragement is provided for pupils and students to participate in competitions, olympiads and other events of a scientific and artistic nature, specialists – in international congresses, conferences, seminars and symposiums held in Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
"In order to support the study and deepening of knowledge of the language and culture of both states, on the basis of reciprocity, we will annually provide up to eight places for studying at the Summer School of Slavonic Studies in the Czech Republic and up to four places for studying at the summer courses of the Ukrainian language and literature in Ukraine," the report says.
