Verallia Ukraine increases revenue by 12% in nine months of 2022

KYIV. Nov 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The manufacturer of glass containers, PrJSC Verallia Ukraine (Zoria village, Rivne region), a subsidiary of French Verallia, received UAH 1.3 billion in revenue in the first nine months of this year, which is 12% more than in the same period in 2021, according to a quarterly report in the disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.

"During the third quarter of 2022, Verallia Ukraine withstood the negative consequences of active hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, the mobilization of a significant share of employees and the loss of a number of customers due to the destruction of production facilities, currency fluctuations and, thanks to quick and prompt actions to reduce costs, did not lose its positions in the glass container market in Ukraine," the company said.

According to the report, the company’s gross profit fell by 2.5 times, to UAH 85.95 million, operating by 26.6 times, or by UAH 139 million, to UAH 5.448 million.

The net loss of Verallia Ukraine amounted to UAH 91 million for the first three quarters of 2022, while over the same period last year the company posted the net profit of UAH 99.5 million.

The reason was a significant increase in "other expenses" – up to UAH 106.5 million from UAH 23 million last year.

Verallia Ukraine produces glass containers for alcoholic beverages and food, the company employs about 480 people.

Verallia has 32 glass factories, three decoration factories and eight cullet (glass) processing centers in 11 countries, producing 16 billion glass bottles and jars annually for delivery to 10,000 companies – from local family producers to major international brands.
