Communication services in Ukraine being gradually restored – Dpty PM

KYIV. Nov 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who is also the Digital Transformation Minister of Ukraine, has announced the gradual restoration of communication services in Ukraine, without mentioning any specific indicators.

"Communication services in Ukraine are being gradually restored. The best situation with the work of base stations is in Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Lviv, Rivne, Sumy, Cherkasy and Chernivtsi regions," he said on the Telegram channel on Thursday.

According to Fedorov, subscribers in Kherson, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Mykolaiv regions are still experiencing communication problems.

"Power engineers are working non-stop to restore electricity as soon as possible. Along with it, communications are gradually being restored. Telecommunication companies continue to work with generators, dozens of which were provided to them earlier," the minister said.

As reported, according to the State Service of Special Communications, the share of operating base stations of mobile operators in Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Odesa and Kharkiv regions on Thursday morning ranged from 9% to 16.4%.

In general, as of 09:00 on Thursday, 44% from the pre-war number of mobile base stations were operating all over Ukraine, the state service said.
