Avangard sees net loss fall by almost 94.7% in 2021

KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Agroholding Avangard LLC, the parent company of the largest chicken egg producer in Ukraine, reduced its net loss by 94.7% in 2021 compared to 2020, to UAH 28.5 million.

According to the company’s announcement in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the company’s assets decreased last year by 19%, to UAH 20.71 billion, while retained loss decreased by 0.2%, to UAH 10.5 billion.

According to the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the net loss per one ordinary nominal share of Avangard last year amounted to UAH 0.00056.

According to the report, the annual meeting of the company’s shareholders will be held on December 29, at which the shareholders intend to decide to cover the net loss received in 2021 at the expense of future profits.

As reported, Avangard in March 2022 announced losses in the amount of UAH 1.5 billion since the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. Russian aggression led to the shutdown of a number of key poultry farms of the group.

Ukrlandfarming is one of the largest agricultural holdings in Eurasia. It is engaged in the cultivation of cereals, breeding cattle, the distribution of machinery, fertilizers and seeds. Avangard, which is part of it, is Ukraine’s largest producer of eggs and egg products.
