Ukraine controls use of allied defense assistance – MP Arakhamia

KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine controls the use of allied defense assistance, MP David Arakhamia, Head of the Servant of the People parlimentary faction, has said.

"Ukraine is already exercising effective control over the use of allied defense assistance and remains committed to the principles of transparency and openness," Arakhamia wrote in his Telegram on Monday.

He said that Ukrainians respect the desire of the American people to be sure that their assistance is used with high efficiency.

"We are also interested in this, because the higher the level of trust, the more assistance can be expected," Arakhamia said, stressing that "Ukraine has practically completed the audit of all the assistance received."

He recalled that an interim ad hoc commission had been set up in the Verkhovna Rada to monitor the receipt and use of international material and technical assistance, including weapons.

Arakhamia also said that during the last visit to the United States, the delegation of the Verkhovna Rada met with representatives of the Republican Party and communicated fruitfully.

"Early December, we will make another trip, during which we will discuss all issues… I am sure that strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States will continue and intensify," the head of the faction said.
