By KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The demand in the suburban real estate market of Ukraine increased significantly in the fall of 2022, people are most actively looking for houses with a generator, a basement and their own well, follows from the analytics of the OLX Real Estate portal.
"Ukrainians this autumn were more interested in renting suburban real estate than last year. At the same time, the peak of requests coincided with large-scale shelling of infrastructure on October 10 and 17 (38,000 and 37,000 requests, respectively), as well as with statements about a possible blackout on October 31 (32,000). In general, in mid-November 2022, interest in out-of-town rentals was three times higher than in November 2021," the portal reported.
The most popular regions for renting a country house were Zakarpattia, Chernihiv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. At the same time, most options are offered in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions.
More than half of the houses offered for rent are located within the boundaries of the settlement (54%), up to 15 km from the city – 39% of ads, 20-50 km – 8%.
The most popular suburban housing offers on the OLX website are brick houses (77% of ads), insulated with mineral wool (52%), with individual gas heating (57%).
According to OLX, the number of ads offering to rent a country house with a generator during the autumn increased six times – to 1,177. There are 3,034 ads with houses with a well, 441 with a basement, while their number in November decreased by 12% compared to September.
Meanwhile, the demand for homes with a generator quadrupled in the fall to 10 potential tenants per ad.
According to OLX, the average cost of renting a house with a generator in Kyiv region is UAH 80,400/month, in Odesa – UAH 43,800/month, Dnipropetrovsk – UAH 35,900/month, Ivano-Frankivsk – UAH 32,900/month, Zakarpattia – UAH 26,000/month. The cheapest house with a generator can be rented in Lviv region – an average of UAH 25,000/month.
Houses with a basement are offered from UAH 21,900/month in Ivano-Frankivsk region up to UAH 58,500/month in Zakarpattia, houses with a well – from UAH 8,000/month in Odesa region up to UAH 45,000 in Kyiv region.
