By KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Bank of Ukraine by its decision of November 25 annulled the insurance licenses of Krona insurer due to the lack of insurer licenses and excluded the company and six other insurers from the state register of financial institutions.
According to the website of the insurer, PrJSC Arma, Benefit, Dobrobut and Zakhyst, PrJSC Europolis, Custody, Mega-Garant are excluded from the state register financial institutions in connection with the cancellation of all existing licenses for the provision of financial services on the basis of decisions of the board of the National Bank of Ukraine.
As reported, on September 30, 2022, the NBU granted permission to Krona to terminate insurance activities (without terminating a legal entity). According to the latest reports submitted by the company for the nine months of 2022, as of September 30, 2022, the volume of insurance premiums of the company amounted to UAH 23.393 million, the value of assets – UAH 59.436 million, while there were no insurance reserves. The company’s market share in terms of insurance premiums was 0.1%.
