By KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Group DF Holding has started production of wood-burning stoves at its Rivneazot and Cherkasy Azot enterprises, the stoves run on wood and can be used both for heating fighters and for cooking military food in the field.
According to the Facebook page of the group of companies, the first pilot batch of stoves has already been transferred to the 126th brigade of the territorial defense forces (Odesa), which is fighting in the Kherson direction, as well as to the 54th motorized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 59th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Now it is very important to support our military and help them in winter, so the Ostchem factories are directing significant resources to the project for the production of stoves," Group DF quotes one of the project coordinators, Rivneazot chief engineer Volodymyr Kovalenko.
Group DF is a diversified international group of companies whose business is represented in a number of countries in Europe and Asia. In particular, Group DF is one of the largest investors in the chemical, titanium and port industries in Eastern Europe.
Ostchem is the nitrogen holding of Group DF belonging to Dmytro Firtash, which unites the largest producers of mineral fertilizers in Ukraine. It includes Rivneazot, Cherkasy Azot, as well as Severodonetsk Azot and Stirol (they do not work and are located in the occupied territories).
PrJSC Rivneazot has been part of Ostchem Group since 2011. Since the acquisition by Dmytro Firtash, according to Group DF, more than UAH 1.3 billion has been invested in Rivneazot.
