Market of new passenger cars in Ukraine keeps declining in Nov

KYIV. Dec 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Primary registrations of new passenger cars in November decreased by 2% compared to October of this year and by 64.3% compared to November last year, to 3,090 vehicles, Ukrautoprom reports on its Telegram channel.

Thus, the market continued the downward trend in car sales (compared to the previous month) after two months of growth, observed in October after large-scale strikes by Russian aggressors on energy infrastructure facilities.

Last month, Toyota remained the most popular brand on the market, which dealers increased sales by 6% compared to October 2022, but they decreased by 28% versus November 2021.

The Renault brand returned to second place (from third in October) with the registration of 387 cars – 43% more than in October this year, but 56% less than November 2021.

SKODA is also in the top three with 272 registered cars (17% less versus October 2022, and 1% less versus November 2021).

The next is Hyundai – 208 cars (1% and 53% less, respectively), moving up two positions compared to the October rating, and Mercedes-Benz – 204 cars (11%, and 4% less).

The title of the best seller of the month belongs to the crossover Renault Duster, which was chosen by 363 buyers.

According to Ukrautoprom, in total, in January-November 2022, Ukrainians purchased and registered 34,000 new passenger cars, which is 63% less than in the same period in 2021.
