Govt regulates creation of Ministry for Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine

KYIV. Dec 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers regulated the creation of the Ministry for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine.

According to resolution No. 1343 dated December 2, the government renamed the Ministry of Infrastructure into the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, and also reorganized the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development by merging the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.

In addition, it was established that the Ministry for the Development of Communities and Territories, which is being reorganized, continues to perform functions and powers in certain areas until the completion of the implementation of measures to join the new ministry, to which its functions and powers are transferred.

The Ministry for Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure is the legal successor of the property, rights and obligations of the reorganized Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories.

In connection with this decision, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure was instructed within a week to ensure the preparation and submission in the prescribed manner for consideration by the government: a draft regulation on the Ministry for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine; a draft act on the establishment of a commission for the reorganization of the Ministry for the Development of Communities and Territories; proposals for introducing amendments to legislative acts arising from this resolution.

In addition, when preparing proposals for amending the State Budget for 2023, the Ministry of Finance was instructed to provide for the costs necessary to ensure the implementation of this resolution.
