WhiteBIT, lifecell provide possibility of cryptocurrency transactions without Internet access

KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The European cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBIT has carried out technological integration with lifecell, combining blockchain ecosystems with communication services, which allows users to access the platform services even in the absence of an Internet connection and from a push-button phone, the company’s press service reported on Tuesday.

"It [the solution] allows WhiteBIT users to make cryptocurrency transactions 24/7, regardless of the circumstances. Access to the exchange’s products will be as simple and familiar as the ability to write an SMS message," WhiteBIT CEO Volodymyr Nosov is quoted in a message.

In particular, WhiteBIT users with a connected lifecell number will be able to check the exchange rates of USDT, BTC, UAH, WBT trading pairs, general and trading balances, view detailed information on each of the balances, send funds between balances, buy or sell existing virtual assets on trading balances, and take a cryptocurrency deposit to the user’s balance.

Access to the exchange’s ecosystem will be provided by the use of the USSD channel. The use of this technology increases the security of transactions, since the mobile operator transmits such transactions through a secure environment built by lifecell and WhiteBIT, which makes phishing virtually impossible, the release states.

WhiteBIT, according to its data, is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Europe and is one of the top two exchanges in the world in terms of security based on an independent audit by Hacken, with an AAA rating. The company has Ukrainian roots: it was founded in 2018 in Kharkiv and has a team of more than 500 specialists.

The operator lifecell is the third largest mobile operator in Ukraine. Turkcell (Turkey) is the owner of 100% shares of lifecell LLC.
