Centravis reduces production of pipes by 34.2% in 11 months, adapts to work in wartime

KYIV. Dec 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Centravis Production Ukraine, which is part of Centravis Ltd., in January-November of this year reduced the production of stainless pipes by 34.2% compared to the same period last year – to 10,600 tonnes from 16,100 tonnes.

According to the company’s press release, the company’s production in January-November 2022 was almost 66% of the level of the previous pre-war year, while at the same time, in monetary terms, the company maintained revenue at 90%.

"Despite the difficult situation in the country and Nikopol, we retained the team, customers and production. None of us prepared for work in wartime, but today everyone must contribute to the victory. Considering all the circumstances, we are proud of our results and will continue to work to support the economy and the state," said Yuriy Atanasov, the general director of Centravis.

The press release recalls that the company is one of the ten largest manufacturers of seamless stainless steel pipes in the world. The company’s production volume in 2021 amounted to 19,430 tonnes. The production of Centravis is concentrated in Nikopol, which since July of this year has been under shelling by Russian troops almost daily.

At the same time, the company manages to maintain production and fulfill the orders of customers from many countries around the world. As of November, the team exceeds 1,400 people, which corresponds to the pre-war level.

The average salary of Centravis employees is UAH 20,070, which is 11% higher than the industry average.
