By KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The surplus of liquidity of the banking system as of the morning of December 8 is UAH 381 billion, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Andriy Pyshny said.
"The banking system has accumulated a record liquidity surplus. To be precise, as of the morning of December 8, this amount is UAH 381 billion … The NBU has developed a set of measures to optimize this structural liquidity surplus and strengthen monetary transmission," he said during a press briefing on Thursday.
According to Pyshny, the National Bank is ready to take additional measures to maintain controllability of exchange rate and macroeconomic processes.
