By KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine (LIOU) initiates the creation of a platform for consultations on insurance of construction and installation risks.
"On the basis of the LSOU, we plan to create an expert pool of insurers who will advise representatives of the construction business and help to obtain optimal insurance conditions to protect business and investments," LSOU President Viktor Berlin said speaking before the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine.
As noted in the report of the LIOU on Facebook, the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine is one of the key topics that President Volodymyr Zelensky is very actively raising at the international level. Today, as you know, active negotiations are already underway to attract large investments and capital investments by Ukraine, which are planned to be directed, among other things, to the restoration of damaged infrastructure facilities. Powerful international partners, representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, business, and public associations are involved in this process.
Berlin also said that an obligatory condition for channeling investments to Ukraine by international organizations, as evidenced by international practice, is insurance, the task of which is to protect investments by covering possible risks.
"I believe that Ukrainian business should actively participate in the restoration of the country. Therefore, we need to prepare for this now, because only by insuring possible risks can the construction business be able to earn. Insurance will help you minimize the associated risks and become more predictable for investors. And this is already a guarantee of long-term work," he said.
